Studio

Studio Pregesbauer is a Vienna-based architecture practice founded by Patrick Pregesbauer. The studio's work spans various scales, including urban planning, architecture, interior, and exhibition design. Studio Pregesbauer has been awarded in several competitions and is involved in a range of public, residential, and commercial commissions, overseeing the entire design process from concept to completion for both new constructions and renovations. In addition to its professional work, Studio Pregesbauer is actively engaged in research, publications and education.

Bio

Patrick Pregesbauer is an architect and researcher based in Vienna. He holds a Master of Sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) following previous education at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Since 2021, he has been part of the research unit ‘Gestaltungslehre und Entwerfen’ at TU Wien, where he is involved in teaching and research while pursuing his Ph.D. He is a state-authorized and sworn civil engineer as well as a member of the Zentralvereinigung der Architekten. Alongside his academic work, he is the founder of Studio Pregesbauer, an emerging architecture practice at the intersection of research and design. His projects have been recognized in international competitions, including the Visitor Center Oberes Belvedere, where he was awarded second prize, and the redesign of the Naschmarkt parking lot Zwischen den Wienzeilen, where he received third prize. His work engages with the relationship between form, history, and the contemporary city.
